Heres something quick and painless. Had this kit in my closet for years and didnt know what to do with it,well guess i figured it out. Revell's wheels of fire snap 1998 vette coupe i decided to do as a mild tuner. I didnt want to go overboard on wild graphics etc... but maintain a customized tuner feel. The body is done in a marbleized blue look with pearl, and gonna add a wing from a C6R kit. The interior will be black with anodized blue accents and a pair of racing seats from the Revell Focus SVT kit. Not sure what wheels I'll use yet.

I noticed that many didn,t like the idea of factory opened doors and trunks as well as the ubiquitus hood . Well , I discovered a fix , quite by accident . NO , my 1/25 scale mopar didn,t collide with a 1/25 scale malibu at the light ! I was still working on my CHRYSLER 300 2DR.HT. and I kept moving a package of EVERGREEN plastic out of the way . I guess the fan vibrated the shelf and this package of HO scale 2x4 strips kept falling down . I was looking at the doors ,Taped in for inside and hinge work . I looked at that strip and I went HMMM! When I removed the tape I took a door and fitted it to the hinge location and saw that the HO scale 2x4 strip would make a nice tight gap .There would still be room for the paint and yet the gap would be very snug without rubbing . So I glued the strip to the ends and the bottom sanded a little and VIOLA! the door had a very nice fit ! I used it on the hood and the trunk too ! Whatta a difference ! So , there is a solution for every problem . I used the strip on my 57 ford HT. too . Like I said whatta difference !! oldcarguy

Ricciardo: Mixed weather a big help By Steven English Sunday, February 20th 2011, 15:52 GMT Daniel Ricciardo believes the Formula 1 teams now have a much better grasp of handling the new Pirelli tyres in mixed conditions, following another wet morning at Barcelona today. The Toro Rosso reserve driver was on board the STR6 for the first half of today's running, which was mostly wet then dried enough for a run on slicks before the lunch break. When asked by AUTOSPORT about gathering data on the crossover point between the Pirelli inter and the slick, he said: "This morning was another big step forward with that. We all get psyched when we are planning to buy a new car, but walking onto a car dealership doesn’t exactly send tingles up and down many people’s arms. After all, who wants to get harassed by salesmen who circle around you like predators stalk their prey and then try to make you pay full price when most people know the price on the window is just a starting point?
Turns out, most people don’t care for that scenario, but still, 42% of buyers aren’t yet willing to purchase a car online. And even though a whopping 59% of buyers hate to have to master the art of haggling, 27% of buyers love to massage the system to get that price down. It’s exhausting just thinking about it, so it’s not surprising that 67% of potential customers want to test drive their dream vehicle alone.
Buying a vehicle is a tough job, but commuting wouldn’t be the same without our four-wheeled friends so check out the infographic for 10 steps to buying a car. After all, we need all the help we can get.
Also, stay tuned for our next installment in the Car Infographics series.
